I have three Xiaomi AX3000T routers on which I have successfully installed Openwrt 24.10.0 and want to setup them up in a mesh configuration but with VLANS. Do I need to use batman-adv for the VLAN stuff?
Yes batman adv or gretap but this is in my opinion more complicated then a bare minimum of batman config which works with the defaults quiet well.
If you life in a really crowded area I would recommend not more then 40 or 80 MHz and stick with the lower channels on 5 GHz. As soon as I disabled 2.4 GHz here it's such more life quality.
If you need a batman adv vlan config I can provide a mostly bare minimum skeleton.
The Wi-Fi isn't too crowded where I live. I was hoping to use the 2.4GHz radio for the backhaul and 5GHz for the VLANS.
I'd appreciate that.
