Has anyone got any experience of using usb 3.0 to SFP cage ethernet adapters, and if so which ones? Seen a Digitus one for about 50€ and all the others at about 250€?!
Combined with an SFP GPON (programable) ONU you could make a nice pi4 based FTTH router!
