Upgrading to latest version?

Hello

I have a TP-Link TL-WR841N/ND v7 currently running LEDE Reboot 17.01.4 r3560-79f57e422d / LuCI lede-17.01 branch (git-17.290.79498-d3f0685) and I need to upgrade it to the latest version.

How can I do this?

Your device only has 4 MB of flash and 32 MB of RAM.

The minimum requirements for 21.02.n are 8 MB of flash and 64 MB of RAM.

From the 21.02.0 release announcement -

Increased minimum hardware requirements: 8 MB flash, 64 MB RAM

Due to new features being introduced and the general size increase of the Linux kernel, devices now need at least 8 MB of flash and 64 MB of RAM to run a default build of OpenWrt. More flash space is recommended for extensibility, see 8/64 warning:
https://openwrt.org/supported_devices/864_warning

The last supported version for the TL-WR841N/ND v7 was 18.06.9

From the poster's site -

Please note there is still upgrading incompatibility against deprecated target ar71xx (OpenWRT version 18.06 or older), please see https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/inst...x.to.ath79 for more info.

OK so how do I upgrade to 18.06.9?

See the Installation section in the device page.

Note that 18.06.9 is no longer supported.

The oldest version still in support is 19.07.

You download the correct sysupgrade file from OpenWrt download site to your pc, and flash the route via sysupgrade.

Ps. Small update to this:

Also 19.07 was declared end-of-life last week when 19.07.10 was released...

I used the upgrade one and it didnt work

Said it was incorrect or something
