I'm not going to use IPV6 at all so to save on storage I want to remove it

Disabling IPv6 is considered to be unsupported, see https://lists.openwrt.org/pipermail/openwrt-devel/2022-March/038249.html
CONFIG_IPV6 will probably be dropped in a future release.

Oh damn... that sucks
Given that the removal of preinstalled packages won't free up any storage anyways, there's nothing lost in that regard either.
