Unable to Update Software Lists

Hello OpenWrt community!

I'm experiencing an issue with the latest OpenWrt firmware on my TP-Link RE200 v4. Here's a breakdown of my setup and the problem I'm facing:

  1. Device: TP-Link RE200 v4
  2. Firmware: 23.05.3
  3. Setup: Trying to configure as a repeater
  4. Connection: Connected to an eero mesh router in Client Mode

The issue: When I attempt to update the software lists, I encounter a error.
"Failed to send request: Operation not permitted"
"Collected errors:

My questions:

  1. Is there something wrong with my setup?
  2. Has anyone else experienced this issue with a similar configuration?
  3. Are there any troubleshooting steps I should try?

You are likely missing the dns and/or gateway information from the lan interface.

Please connect to your OpenWrt device using ssh and copy the output of the following commands and post it here using the "Preformatted text </> " button:

You need to enable dnsmasq service and disable its dhcp and dns servers on lan interface.
