No go, renamed or not renamed SNAPSHOT version not accepted.
Looking here
https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/cpe710/v2/#Firmware
(they dont like deep links - copy/paste)
Is v1.1.2 image accepted? DO NOT UPGRADE to 1.1.3, downgrade alerts mean bootloader is changed and old versions will not boot.
Yes, it does say there, that it won't be able to downgrade, like I said, I emailed TP-Link support, will tell them to help me to downgrade, maybe then it will accept stuff.
So it is from different region not yet in safeloader.
Well no, by serial # is it from US, also, I live in USA, this unit was purchased from Amazon USA.
See the screenshot ? what is strange there it says, V2.6. The serial # is from the label on the unit.
But on web-gui it says, v2.0. A little strange.
Maybe it is version 2.6, and that is not supported in bootloader ?!
brada, means 'beard' in Slovak language. Thank you for all your help and time, really appreciate it. I will get the fw downgraded by support and we'll go from there.
Thank You everyone for Your time and all the help, I'll try to get the firmware version downgraded and then we'll see how it goes. Still if anyone has any idea on how to flash it, please post it. Thank You very much all.
Same fw file for 2.6, around the world.
bootloader is one on the 1st block of router flash
safeloader is metadata in the image to be read by oem upgrade upload dialog.
