Unable to Change Router Address

After doing a new install of LEDE Shelby and attempting to change the router address per this page ---> https://lede-project.org/playground/qsg_lede_installation_guide, I'm unable to change the router address. My change from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.149.100 looks like it's accepted by the system hanges (MAC works indicator just spins for up to 10 minutes).

What am I doing wrong?

Once you change the IP address for the LAN it is no longer available.

Try power cycling your router. You may also need to release and renew your PC's IP.
