Dear all,

Since there are some really experts on wifi and openwrt I would like to configure my wifi router to the following, to use the 5ghz frequency to communicate with the main router and use 2,4 ghz frequency to communicate with all my other devices since they all use this frequency.

I read somewhere that using wifi repeater on the main frequency (2,4 ghz the connection is reduced to half, and the solution is to use 5ghz as main data receivable and 2,4 and main transmitter) doing that on Openwrt I really don't know how.

Just follow any of the tutorials for "wireless client mode", but make sure to use the 5GHz radio when creating the connection to the upstream router.
