TUF-AX6000 stuck at Flashing

Hello,

I'm new to OpenWRT and just spent hours reading instructions before trying to install it. Now I got to the step of flashing it with sysupgrade.bin and it's been Flashing. Shows the message "The system is flashing now. DO NOT POWER OFF THE DEVICE!"

It's been like this for about an hour now, what do I do? I can't access Luci anymore if I open another tab go to 192.168.1.1 as well.

I still have wired internet connection but I can see my previously set up WIFI from stock software is gone.

Any help would be appreciated!

  1. That is not vanilla openwrt.
  2. The wiki has this warning in boldface:

"Please note that OpenWrt 24.10.0 works only on devices with U-Boot 2022.04-rc1.
If you have a recent U-Boot >= 2022.10 installing OpenWrt 24.10.0 will brick your device.
If unsure DO NOT INSTALL OpenWrt 24.10.0 and wait for OpenWrt 24.10.1."

You can try Asus' restore software but you may be forced to use serial to recover. Check wiki for serial location.

I saw this but also saw the newest version is 24.10.2, did I misunderstand it as the issue is now resolved?

  1. Update AsusWRT to latest to update uboot.
  2. Remittor's updated 24 TRX image
  3. openwrt-24.10.2-mediatek-filogic-asus_tuf-ax6000-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin

Yes it is fixed unless there is another uboot update not yet reported. You will get better responses by posting in AX6000 thread. My only advice is still Asus restore or serial if it failed.

I managed to solve it myself. Turns out I uploaded a snapshot and ended up with no Luci. Flashed it again via SSH and now it's all good!
