Trying to install wireguard

trying to install wireguard with the openwrt wiki instructions - but

luci-proto-wireguard does not exist on my package lists despite updating packages (pressed button and also say the text output appear to have it succeed) - is there a different name then what is in the guide? ( https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/services/vpn/wireguard/server?s[]=vpn&s[]=wireguard )

the two things that show up are:
wireguard-tools 1.0.20210914-r4 27.76 KiB WireGuard is a novel VPN that runs inside the Linux Kernel and utilizes…

this is an image of my overview tab if that is helpful

was told because its an openwrt router it should be compatible with the architecture

trying to use GUI for now

Start by upgrading to 24.10.5.

From there, you should be able to install wireguard.

image says that the particular model only supports 24.10.4 - is that ok? -- I would be downloading sysupgrade image?

the version info haven't been updated, read https://openwrt.org/toh/openwrt/one#installation.
use files from https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/.

excellent thank you, will try this

EDIT
but also - this page is not updated then - it says its only supported up until 10.4

My notes to install WireGuard might also be helpful:

WireGuard Client Setup Guide

yes, the version change is manual work, it took a couple of weeks before the 2nd last release got updated on the wiki pages.

keep in mind 10.5 was release last Thu/Fri.
