Transplant and configuration of ONT from FreboxPop on OpenWrt box (Qotom minipc)

Would it be possible to use the sfp optical module coming from my Freebox Pop (Free FTTH connection France) on my new coming Qotom C3758R 4x 10G SFP+/ 5x Intel 2.5G LAN?

Alternatively is there any SFP/SFP+ ONT compatible with map-e and the free connection in France?

Has anybody succeeded in configuring a transplanted or third party sourced sfp-ont with OpenWrt for Free's FTTH connection in France?

best regards,
Eugenio.

You need to ask provider for that piece. It is not optical wthernet piece, it is PON terminal in module, where provider stores their customer parameters.

I see, thanks for your advice. I will try to ask them and provide the updates here for future reference!

Best regards,
Eugenio.

They may have 2.5Gbps or 1Gbps, esp if they have business clients on PON. No harm in asking.

The model of the ONT is rated for 10 Gbps/1Gbps D/U, but on other superior models there should be 10Gbit symmetric ones because the max advertised speed is 8Gbps symmetric

Edit:

link to other superior offers from the same isp in France, for which I should be eligible

You need to ask them. Example (needs correct laser wavelength only they can tell you) https://www.zyxel.com/service-provider/global/en/products/fiber-oltsonts/xgs-pon/transceiver/pm7000-01
