For TP-Link, the sub-revision (3.x) usually only depicts the preinstalled OEM firmware, without actual hardware differences. Hardware wise, all hardware revisions of the TL-WR941ND v2.x¹ and v3.x, including your v3.6 are identical - and the v3 factory image will just work.
Keep in mind, the "OpenWrt Version Supported" means the first version to support this device, you should always install the current version (18.06.2 at this moment) instead. Be aware that this device falls under https://openwrt.org/supported_devices/432_warning.
