I'm new to OpenWrt and I'm having the issue to configure it in AP (master) and STA (client) mode. I've created new AP (master) and I can connect to it with my smartphone, of course without Internet connection. Now, I installed Travelmate, created new uplink interface (trm_wwan) and associated wireless station. I can see it under 'Wireless' as network configured in client mode. The question is what are the next steps? In my understanding I need somehow to 'connect' this two networks: AP (master) and STA (client). How can I do that? Via network interface?

It's not clear what you're tying to do. From your description, I surmise that you're trying to get Internet from the STA. So long as you add STA to WAN and AP to LAN, everything should work.
