TP-Link TL-MR6400 v5.2 revert to original firmware

Hi,

I have installed openwrt on TPLINK TL-MR6400 V5.2, but the LTE modem doesnt always connect after reboot.

I followed this guide TL-MR6400 v5 back to stock firmware without success.
The old static link with the firmware from TP LINK is not up anymore.
Tried also to use the same procedure with the current firmware without success.
Also run binwalk in the current firmware from TP LINK to check the offset of the LZMA filesystem also no success.

Can someone send the TL-MR6400v5_1.1.0_0.9.1_up_boot(200511)_2020-05-11_12.28.03.bin firmware so I can run the guide

or

Thanks for you help.

Got it working with the original firmware.

Had to use the new firmware with dd if=original.bin of=tp_recovery.bin skip=1 bs=512 count=16000

The router was expecting tp_recovery.bin not tp_recover.bin

The old firmware did flash but Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(31,2)

Thanks again frollic.

After some time the router crashes like it lost power no output in serial terminal.

I also flashed the original firmware via the tp link web interface just to be safe.

Does anyone have experienced the same?

Hi guys,

Can someone please send me the prepared firmware, as I don't have Hyper-V and cannot install a linux based SO to prepare it. I would really appreciate it.

Thanks and BR,
Ovi

You can install dd, ported for Windows.
