TP-Link RE200 Wi-Fi Broken

As already discussed in a previous thread (now closed), the 5GHz Wifi on this device seems to have serious issues.

I just tested again with 21.02 on my RE200 v2 and the problem remains. The maximum power for the 5Ghz radio is only 9mW which makes it unusable (see below). I tested with the stable 21.02 build as well with today's snapshot build, same results. I've tried changing channel, country, bandwitdth, all for nothing.

So I would like help from anyone with RE200 v4 to check if it also has this issue or if the 5Ghz power is normal. I would be willing to upgrade my v2 to v4 if I could be sure it would fix the 5Ghz radio.

Thanks!

Just an update: as of Nov 13th, 2021, this problem still exists in all current releases for the RE200 v2 as well as the snapshot builds.

I just tested a new snapshot build today and the 5Ghz radio is still capped at 9dBm and does not work, as can be seen below.

The RE200 v4 uses the same WLAN hardware and driver as the v2, so I assume it would have the same problem.
