I had the same issue with 23.05.4 images downloaded from the firmware selector. But the image that I compiled myself works fine. No extra options, just default configuration for re200v1
I opened the device now and flashed with tftp the 23.05.02 firmware and my device is working again 
with 23.05.03 it stuck in the kernel start
