Some more about the Cyberoam and the Dell.
Recently, I did several OpenWrt installs on Cyberoam CR15wiNG and CR25wiNG devices, so I thought I'd publish my notes here. Both of these models include wireless networking. Both have matching wired-only sister models, CR15iNG and CR25iNG respectively, so I expect the installation process for those should be nearly identical, but shorter (no need to configure wireless networking).
This HOWTO is intended for the relatively new users who have some experience with general computing and system admi…
There's another version of this device available, called CR25Wing, containing a wifi card.
No logs available for the stock OS, the 4GB CF was wiped, and the 320GB HGST spin drive
it came with, was dead.
Power is through a 12V DC plug, sticker on the device says 1.7A.
Soldered RAM size is 2GB
dd:ed openwrt 22.03 to the CF, and the device booted.
CPU is quad core GX-412TC.

CPUs used for each model are C3338 (2-core), C3558 (4-core), C3758 (8-core), C3958 (16-core).
Three things,
Don't get the 610 model, it's can't be extended as the 620/640/680, and if I understand it correctly, there's no VEP1400 firmware for it, meaning the watchdog can't be disabled by replacing the BIOS.
Don't get the version with the black cover, I've read somewhere they've removed…
Two additional options would be the SW302DA and SW301DA, where the 302 would be preferred, as the 301 can't really route at 1gbit, while the 302 can.
They're also fan less.
You shouldn't buy the SWs unless they're really cheap, below $30.
They're great, but old.
