TP-LINK EAP610-OUTDOOR V1.20 install problems

Hi
I have installed openwrt on 5 tp-link eap610-outdoor v1 with no issues, but i have just got two more units but hey are v1.20 and I'm unable to install openwrt, can anyone help please.

The web ui install just says "Failed to check for new version"

Adam

Were you following https://git.openwrt.org/?p=openwrt/openwrt.git;a=commit;h=a00ff9f6d13f6ff5eae57be70a270ccd668d5240 ?

Can you send a screenshot of OEM hw info page? Paint over MACs Serials IPs , no value of them here.
These IDs are supported. if yours is different youll need to patch this and rebuild for initial install, then hopefully PR new device variation support.

Hi yes, can i add that I'm unable to downgrade the tp-link firmware on the unit, I get the same error message "Failed to check for new version" , I can only update the firmware on the unit using newer tplink firmware, sorry for not pointing this out.

Hi brada4
I'm not sure where to get this OEM hardware information from, the tplink web ui main page, or the sticker on the box, sorry

the eap610-outdoor model firmware is is only in openwrt snapshot

dose this change anything.
i will add the main page of the ui if it helps.

More info
I kept the snapshot firmware image from when i did the original 5 eap610-outdoors v1 and tried updating the firmware with this image, i also tried a new snaptop image to see if this would help.

im no pro but is there a way to test to see if the command cliclientd stopcs really is working, it say susses when entered. but i cant be sure

I only have one, tried to set it up, found that web install did not work so I tried serial install and totally bricked it:

So don't go that route. Maybe there is a new variant?

Hi All
what can i do to help, find a solution, I'm unable to down grade my firmware under tp-link 1.3.1 version without getting the same error message, also I'm unable to install openwrt snapshot firmware.

I can find a way of getting the hwinfo from the limited version of busybox 1.20 that's installed with tp-link firmware.

Is there a way to confirm that cliclientd stopcs command is working?
