i have a tp-link EAP225 v3 (EU) with OpenWrt 21.02.3 as AP, and it's doing well.
but ... when I set the TXpwoer of the 5GHz band above 19 dBm, the device keeps rebooting after connecting my phones and laptops.
i checked quicly the last line in the system logs befor rebooting:
Fri Jun 10 18:37:21 2022 kern.warn kernel: [ 2036.154251] ath10k_pci 0000:00:00.0: Invalid VHT mcs 15 peer stats
my setting for 5G
Channel: 44 Width : 40
Encryption: WPA2 PSK (CCMP)
my setting for 2G
Channel: 13 Width : 20
Encryption: WPA2 PSK (CCMP)
TXpower: 20
notice, the problem caused by the 5G only. i try many settings in 2.4, it works perfectly.
but when I increase the txpower in 5G above 19 dBm, the problem comes here.
If you don't set a txpower, the radio should default to the highest power it is capable of, and that's usually what you want.
This is definitely a 5 GHz problem. It should be running the -ct-smallbuffers ath10k. Not using the smallbuffers version will definitely cause crashing on a 128 MB RAM. You can also try the non-ct ath10k.
i had test with the default country drive, but the problem is the same with this message:
Fri Jun 10 18:37:21 2022 kern.warn kernel: [ 2036.154251] ath10k_pci 0000:00:00.0: Invalid VHT mcs 15 peer stats
