Hello so I unpacked the firmware for this device using https://github.com/kolomparrudi/tp-link-ax55-fw-hacks and it appears to be running custom Openwrt/luci

Would this help in creating official Openwrt firmware?

And is it the same as the non Pro version?

Yeah it's the same but with a 2.5G WAN port.

Apparently they are not the same. The Pro version has Mediatek hardware as mentioned here and here.
