Tor 0.4.8 sunsetting now

This is a public service announcement from the Tor developers, just trying to get maximum exposure.

The Tor network is going to undergo breaking changes soon, which will affect versions 0.4.8 and earlier. Details at their announcement below:

24.10 is still at 0.4.8, so expect a PR soon to update it.

Important notice. This will be a major update and code jump on Tor. I currently use version 0.4.9 with Sing-box.

Tor Project are working on the Arti Relay project where we hope to be able to begin the upgrade of the network towards our Rust implementation of Tor in the near future. To support this work, we would like to announce that we intend to actively stop compatibility for 0.4.8 and earlier C Tor versions soon
