Wrong. AFAIK the Cudy TR3000 has 1 GB LAN + 2.5GB LAN.

I meant for 1G/1G connection we could be recommending 2.5G wan and atleast 1x 2.5G LAN devices to allow for overhead?

All filogic and mt7622 (not 21) have internal 2.5Gbit ports. Since for 2.5Gbit provider side you need them to change hardware that will not jump in accidentally.

Objectively, the best hardware is the Quantum Fiber W1700k, irrespective of price. Easily obtainable from Ebay for <$50 in the US and <$100 in Europe after shipping hassles. Please, elaborate. At first glance the WH3000 is an alternative to Cudy, but not necessarily better. Missing official openwrt support, unfortunately. The Pro is an alternative, offering modem, if required. Still, does not mean, better, too.

What do you mean no official support? It is supported officially since 24.10.3. Or you mean support from the producer? Who cares for it? The specs are also better - you get 1Gb or RAM and 8GB of flash compare to 512Mb of RAM and 128Mb of flash in Cudy. You can even build a pretty decent NAS with it…

You are right, I am wrong. Pricewise, the Huafei is only marginally more expensive than the Cudy. Thus, a better buy in general.
