I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to everyone here at forum.openwrt.org, for this is THE friendliest community, by far, among all currently existing open router software (2021-07).
I have tried all open solutions (and also some paid ones) capable of running on x86_64 hardware and have found that OpenWrt has the best balance of features, documentation and community. The last aspect makes it the winner in my book, because it allows newbies and professionals to live peacefully together in this single space, whithout the usual bully attitude shown by more experienced users in other places.
So, once again, kudos to everyone involved in this fantastic project.
