I do not understand what may be happening?
I had to switch the Rx and Tx for it to work. Could someone confirm the pin order ?

  1. Never connect VCC
  2. RX/TX on the cable should be swapped, see https://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/hardware/port.serial#router_with_serial_portheaderpins
  3. You can check yourself which is which on the PCB, see https://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/hardware/port.serial#finding_serial_console

i put the 3 cables in orther croos over. but when open the terminal minicon, an redet the router dont appear nothings

since I saw some of you had this problem..

a few days ago when I connected my ftdi serial2usb and got some garbage output, after trying several times I had got a clean output and I was able to call sysupgrade to restore a bad firmware.

so, It might be the cable or the cheap ftdi chip itself going nuts.
I'll try to switch to another one.

Once you are sure about the tx/rx/gnd connections just keep snuzzling the cable and wait until you see a clean output on the terminal. I have to do this myself and it always worked sooner or later.
