Hi all, I am wandering about wireless adapter for my x86 based OpenWrt router. On market is lot of adapters but I am missing here some list of supported USB or PCIe adapters. Will be wery helpfull to provide some list supported adapters. I have 2G USB ASUS N10 and working well, but I need 5G adapter. Is there someone who know witch one workin for 100% that is compatible? I am tryed two, first AC600 PCIe tp-link Archer T2E with RTL8821CE and TP-Link Archer T3U Plus, both are not compatible. When I am going trough forum, there are post about "what is not working, what is maybe" e.t.c.
Please, do you have anyone 5G wireless adpter working well also like AP?
Thank you very much for any recomandations.
We are trying to find a reliable answer now.
Right now the, without argument, answer is use an older router in "dumb AP" mode.
this ^, it'ill save you from ulcers and hair loss, due to severe head scratching.
I have Archer C20 router with OpenWrt but I am begginer on OpenWrt, how to switch OpenWrt on Archer to "dumb AP"? Thank you very much for answer.
It is easier to watch than read how. You can ignore the firmware version in the video. I'd update the router to latest first though.
If you have any issues, just come back.
thank you very much!
First question, interface - lan there are missing physical settings... there are just firewall
Did you do the reset?
Did you update?
yes, my wersion is 23.05.0.r23497-6637a95aa
No general settings, no advanced settings, just firewall?
Show me a screenshot.
general - advanced - Firewall - DHCP
So, what is missing? Because that is not what got translated.
on the video is set up physical...
my screen on router
I think you skipped a step: 1:10 network/switch. That lan is for issues.
You deleted the wan and then you go to network/switch. Is it there?
my one router
Perfect.
Now, slow the video down to .75 continue the tutorial, follow his steps and then listen to why he wanted to go into the physical settings again.
