I just purchased an A6 for OpenWRT not knowing there was a V4, and received a V4.
I have taken some photos of the internals for hardware reference.
Currently looking for V3 and V2 photos to compare.

Any update here? I too, am in the same situation. If I had known that there was a v4 of the TP-Link A6 router, I would have been more careful when purchasing.
As interesting as firmware development for the v4 of this router may sound, I definitely don't have the relevant familiarity with this project, nor do I have hours of spare time to devote...
