Wi-Fi Alliance introduces new wireless standard notation.
Is this going to be integrated ?
That new typization is pretty broken to begin with (it doesn't include the supported frequency band, nor does it even list names for 802.11ad or similar less popular standards), but even assuming it to be the new gospel - it doesn't make any sense to employ it before the rest of the eco-system does. Right now anyone using that naming will add more confusion than already present, as you'd be pretty much the only one doing so - maybe that will change with the general availability of 802.11ax devices, but only time will tell.
