I Have this device ( WAVLINK N300 - WL-WN570HN2 ) but cannot find any documentation about it.
Can anyone indicate a version of openwrt image that is suitable for it?

I was thinking getting one of those unit. Do you have by any change a boot log ? since you opened it. With the MT7628 it shouldn't be hard to port it to openwrt.
I just want to know more before I buy one with the boot log.
The model WL-WN570HA1 is now supported under snapshot seem not to fair away from this one in the mt76x8 family.

the wifi is not very good with the stock firmware, it keeps low range and often disconnects
I will try a console soon to check more detais of the system

Is it possible to have the WN570HN2 compatible with OpenWRT ?
I've a lot of disconnection with the current firmware.
try latest firmware posted above, it solved the disconnections for me

I just came here to say thank you, since you linked th e "Original" firmware here and that helped me a lot. Since I updated the firmware to the latest version but on this new firmware you cannot disable the wifi. I'm using this ap as ap client router. I connect to a wifi hotspot and retrasmite the network by cable, so I didnt want the ext wifis on making noise. I highly recommend not to update the firmware

Hi, I just received this item wl-wn570hn2 rev b
I tried to follow instructions for model Wavlink WL-WN570HA1
method using TFTP recovery does not work (no requests are made by the router)
but
every time You put router in recovery mode (switch on with reset pressed)
You can reach a page (labeled UBoot) on its default ip (192.168.10.1) that let You load a firmware.
I tried to load the Sysupgrade image but once router is rebooted it does not work (boot loop)
I tried to load the Kernel image
and, once is rebooted, it works but it shows a message (initramfs mode) that a firmware should be loaded.
I tried to load the sysupgrade firmware from UI but, once is rebooted, it returns to the kernel one in initramfs mode.
I tried to load the sysupgrade from a previous version (latest 22.x) without success.
Is there any way to flash a working firmware for this device?
I tried using command line (sysupgrade -v /tmp/firmware.bin) with the sysupgrade one but is shows an error and the shell is dropped and a reboot is done without flashing
I tried using command line with mtd write but there's no mtd loaded (cat /proc/mtd shows empty)
Does anyone has an hint or a solution to this?

I found the way to flash an old version
- put in recovery mode (push reset on bottom and power on => all lights are on and stay like this, no need to keep reset button pressed)
- use a fixed address 192.168.10.x and connect to the lan port on poe switch
- browse to 192.168.10.1
- upload sysupgrade firmware 21.02.7 from the official site firmware selector
- job done.
I tried with next versions (22.x and 23.x) without success.
anyone knows why is it broken?
is not possible to flash a newer firmware?

sorry to bother, the firmware 21.02.7 is the same of the others because on reboot all settings are lost.
df -h shows me only tmpfs, so there's something wrong on partitions/names/mountpoints of this model and is not covered into WL-WN570HA1 one
is there a way to patch the firmware to allow a persistent installation?
