As described in ZBT WE8260 MMC over GPIO and No package kmod-mmc-over-gpio!?!? the kmod-mmc-over-gpio can not installed via opkg or ImageBuilder in the 19.07.5 Openwrt firmware release.
So is it correct that there is no active support for SD Card/MMC over GPIO in newer releases? If so, is there a reason why? Is there a solution to get it running?
I my case i would like to experiment with hardware hacking to add a SD card (https://openwrt.org/toh/d-link/dir-615#sd-card_in_dir-615_h1) for expanding root to be able to install more opkg packages and have WiFi working, because it crashes due to 4k limitations.
