Hi, I have an issue where the router just disables the 5ghz band when i change the channel to anything other than channel 44. Does this happen to all the archer c5 v4's or is mine the special one?

Any suggestions for slimming down the image? I'd like to be able to run extroot on a usb drive, but there's not enough space to setup the tools needed for extroot. Thanks.
Compile the image yourself by integrating the necessary modules, you will save space due to compression.
Unfortunately, I did not notice this problem on any of the versions I installed.
I've found some diffs in rtl8367d
vlan config. So it can take some time to fix. But you can inspect outgoing traffic of port 3 (with tcpdump
or wireshark
tools) just to ensure that thers is no problem with router->client transmission.

Because VLAN initialization failed, probe bailed out and you got not switch (just like having no driver at all). You can add some prints to rtl8366_init_vlan() and then inside the function that failed (and so on).
