Hello to all,
I have another question : Do you know how to force an EAP225-Wall that has a bad OpenWRT configuration to boot with the default configuration, by pressing the button in a specific way with a specific timing ?
Do you know the sequence to apply ?
It would be interesting to report this info on the EAP-225 OpenWRT Wiki page, because it will be useful for many users.
Kind regards,
Frederic.
I'm back I have the answer :
- Change your PC IP settings to a static address :
192.168.1.100
- Unpower the router
- Connect your PC to any port of the EAP-225.
- Repower the router, the LED will stay bright a few seconds, then it will start flashing slowly : Right after it starts flashing slowly, press repeatedly the
home button
4 times per second until the LED is flashing fast. - The LED flashing fast means your are now booting into fail-safe mode, and can ssh to
root@192.168.1.1
, from here, original default settings can be restored by entering the commandfirstboot && reboot now
New issue found, with the Switch, I opened a separate ticket :
As a result, I have added this new section in the TP-Link EAP-225 series OpenWrt wiki page, concerning the embedded switch VLAN enabled Artheros AR8229 found in the EAP-225-Wall V2 and its configuration, I encourage you to read it if you don't want to bump your head on walls for weeks for its configuration :
