Thanks very much, i'll do it today and report asap.

Partialy yes, i'm keeping this asus one because it's very nice looking device, i'm renovating my room now so i've disconnected most of my copper and fiber network, i have also other devices like dynalink wr-36 , xiaomi ax3000t, bpi r4 and more. None of them are that stylish like this asus one. This is sad that those devices aren't more popular.
I hope you can help me with an issue I'm having while trying to install OpenWrt on my Asus OnHub.
I believe I've completed the factory reset successfully, but I'm unable to get a ping after flashing the OpenWrt firmware. I've tried several USBs, and with various results, none of which allow for a successful ping:
-
Result 1: Holding down the reset button leads to an alternating orange/red light. After pressing the dev button, waiting for two beeps, and pressing it again, the device reboots and immediately shows a solid green LED.
-
Result 2: Holding down the reset button results in a flashing red light as expected. After pressing the dev button, waiting for two beeps, and pressing it again, the device reboots and displays a flashing purple light.
In neither case do I see the rainbow LED that the instructions mention, and I'm unable to ping the device. I'm unsure what might be happening or if I'm missing a crucial step.
Did you all as it's written in wiki tutorial? Did it booted from it and flashed? Make serial working.
