Partialy yes, i'm keeping this asus one because it's very nice looking device, i'm renovating my room now so i've disconnected most of my copper and fiber network, i have also other devices like dynalink wr-36 , xiaomi ax3000t, bpi r4 and more. None of them are that stylish like this asus one. This is sad that those devices aren't more popular.

I hope you can help me with an issue I'm having while trying to install OpenWrt on my Asus OnHub.

I believe I've completed the factory reset successfully, but I'm unable to get a ping after flashing the OpenWrt firmware. I've tried several USBs, and with various results, none of which allow for a successful ping:

  • Result 1: Holding down the reset button leads to an alternating orange/red light. After pressing the dev button, waiting for two beeps, and pressing it again, the device reboots and immediately shows a solid green LED.

  • Result 2: Holding down the reset button results in a flashing red light as expected. After pressing the dev button, waiting for two beeps, and pressing it again, the device reboots and displays a flashing purple light.

In neither case do I see the rainbow LED that the instructions mention, and I'm unable to ping the device. I'm unsure what might be happening or if I'm missing a crucial step.

Did you all as it's written in wiki tutorial? Did it booted from it and flashed? Make serial working.
