Support for Asus RT-AC5300?

I understand Asus RT-AC5300 was not supported due to lack of FOSS drivers from Broadcom (WiFi was not working at all).
However, with relatively recent changes: the brcmfmac drivers added to Linux kernel and to the OpenWRT and with the 4366c firmware, adding support seems to be theoretically possible.
Also, support for similar devices (like Phicomm K3) has been recently added to the OpenWRT.

Could anyone more experienced in OpenWRT advise please if adding support for my router is feasible?

I gave up ...
I moved to Netgear R7800 and it was a very good decision :slight_smile:
