Hi,
I`m looking for stock flash dump from TP-LINK WPA8630(EU) v2.0 (without p) to "resurect" unit "killed" by official web upgrade TL-WPA8630 KIT(EU) V2.0_190910
Just read flash content via clip and trying to figure out what was wrong.
btw anyone have clue where serial pins are on this unit?
thx
mariusz
Does it have a different mainboard than the WPA8630P v2?
There are internal pictures including UART pins: https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wpa8630p_v2
Unfortunately it looks different from "P" version. no such 4 sibling pins for uart on my board
It looks like https://fccid.io/TE7WPA8630V2/Internal-Photos/Internal-Photos-3491506.pdf but has EU power connector
Part I done UART found
TP5 GND, TP6 vcc and TP3&4 for Tx and Rx
got u-boot output... going to part II
Part II done, unit back to live
short howto (serial connection needed):
1 looks like bad flash via factory TL-WPA8630 KIT(EU) V2.0_190910 added/enabled/triggered additional command to u-boot - http which starts "recovery" httpd server
2 upload TL-WPA8630(EU)_V2_171017 via web browser (or all parts from it via uboots tftp-erase-cp.b)
3 repeat step 2 as not all parts are correctly updated on first run in case of recovery httpd server
4 get and flash original factory-uboot and fs-uboot (Im still looking for original dumps)
5 due to lack of original factory-uboot and fs-uboot dumps I`ve used part of dump from WPA8630P(EU) v2 provided by @jwmullally (once again thanks for dump)
After that it started to work correctly
To be sure I`ve done factory reset and once again reflashed using TL-WPA8630(EU)_V2_171017 image via usual upgrade method via webbrowser.
So looks like reflashing factory-uboot and fs-uboot could be a first step to downgrade 2.0.3/4 back to ~"supported" version 2.0.2
case looks almost closed
If anyone have/find/will be able to make original dumps of factory-uboot and fs-uboot from WPA8630(EU) v2.0 please let me know.
