hello
what is the difference between TP-LINK TD-W8970 & TD-W8970B in hardware and openwrt/lede support?
i know that TD-W8970 V1.x is supported, some say they are using the annex b version TD-W8970B.
i have a FTTC without isdn(ANNEX A) and i dont know if i can find the old v1.x .
so if i get the annex b version which should be available, will it work for me with adsl/vdsl ?

VDSL should work but not for ADSL Annex A/B have 2 different resistors.

Hi @Console_GEEK - I've been able to run both boxes on an Annex B circuit (in Germany). If you are interested, here is the build config:

Did you know if the O2-Box 6431 having the same problem ?
How can i test/see it ?

The TD-W8970B works only with B ? right.
Working the TD-W8970 with A+B or only with A or exist a variant TD-W8970A ?
And does Annex J working on TD-W8970B?
(of course i mean ADSL only)

@imaginator thanks for the info, you could run both on annex b , but can both run on annex A ?

No he mean you can run Annex A with vdsl on your location but not ADSL.
Sorry can not give your more information. about resistor and o2 box

Annex J work only with max 2.1 Mbit

How did you people get the LEDE firmware onto the TP-W8970B? Don't want to hijack this thread, so I opened a new one here. I can telnet into the old firmware but a are not able to find the commands in order to flash. Is this normal? How did you do the installation? Would be great if you or someone else could have a quick look and maybe give pointers.
