I have a Linksys E8450 and I followed instructions here, so using latest signed "installer" image and here are a couple of pics showing the problem and showing luci and kernel versions while in recovery mode.
I had flashed the initial installer image and it's supposed to reboot into luci, which is where it's stuck, to facilitate flashing the final image with luci.
I then put the router in recovery mode and I'm connected with ssh and the router's storage is mounted and I don't know what to do next.
Any ideas?
It looks like you're using internet explorer. Have you tried using a more modern browser?

I've used IE on lots of routers and I'm glad you mentioned that. Chrome and Edge both were acting crazy for me and wouldn't even work after cleaning caches and everything. I can try firefox I suppose.
Anything interesting in logread? And after service uhttpd restart ?

You figured it out immediately. Firefox worked fine and my router now has openwrt installed on it and everything works. Thank you!
