Is this a VDSL or ADSL connection ?

Have you studied this page?
https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/network/wan/isp-configurations#germany

For Deutsche Telecom or similar VDSL connections:

config interface 'wan'
option ifname 'dsl0.7' # for 18.06 or later.

As your router is a Lantiq device, you may wish to study this installation guide. See section 9.1 for PPPoE for VDSL

Thank you fir the quick reply. To be honest, I don't really know if its ADSL or VDSL. The contract just says the Routee has to be VLAN7-ready.

I cound't find a way to change wan: "ifname" , as well as option vlan '7'. Is this only possible through the SSH command line?

What is your expected broadband speed? If it is much greater than 20 mbps download and 1mbps upload, then it is probably a VDSL service.

Let me assume it is VDSL.

Please study the installation guide for HH5A if you wish to make the VLAN change using LuCI. Section 9.1

If you are a Windows user, you can use WinSCP to edit the /etc/config/network file. Otherwise, you can use VI editor via SSH. (See section 10 of the above guide) Using LuCI is much easier !

Thank you so much. It works perfectly. I think the essential change was tonset the vlan tag to 7. a little change to the manual you suggested:

"dsl0.7"
