Smallest supported router (AC + Gigabit LAN)

Yes - S&H is a bit harsh.

It's going to be wiped as soon as it arrives - and true open OpenWRT is going to hit the device.

It was more of a hardware question.

But, I've leaped at neck-grabbed ankle, enough.

Yes, I own exactly the same MT1300 (Beryl), with another MT3000 (Beryl AX) on the road coming.

My experience on MT1300: With GL's firmware it's shitty, flashed to 22.03 I really really like it! I can tell you that I have this connected to hotel (tested 100M throughput), the MT1300 is doing a great job and I can even use gaming laptop to play FPS without problem (using WiFi). I know you might say 100Mbps throughput isn't hard to handle, but for hotels it's not that easy to have that sustained bandwidth all the time. I remember there was a week I stayed in COVID quarantine hotel, I also used this router with my laptop/tablet/phone/Chromecast.

With WiFi as WAN, it also does a great job.
