On this page https://openwrt.org/toh/asus/rt-ac51u the sentence:
"Only power LED works, regardless of the LED configuration settings. A workaround to enable LEDs (all except 5Ghz) has been discovered on the forums"
is not true anymore 'cause leds are working starting from 19.07.6.
