Not a chance legacy iptables installed without being listed in package list. Sysupgrade with reset to default image and do benchmarks there changing as little xheckboxes as possible.
I don't know what the above is instructions to do.
So sysupgrade back to the .4 version? That's what it originally was, IF that is what you mean by "default". Thx for clarifying.
23.05.5 without adding iptables-legacy modules.
Reset back to default (backup/flast - Perform reset) I am at ver .5.

Only things I did was activate 2g and 5g radios, Set channel - auto, set SSID (2g/5g), set security on both (WPA2-PSK), driver US on both. Set correct timezone. I checked Installed software for both "iptables"and "legacy" Neither are present. Double-check for iptables:

No problem, just indictes you do not have ip6 subnet delegated.
OK, thanks, so next step on trouble shooting the slow 5g?
Also, is there some other way that I should check to ensure that legacy iptables is not installed? I would think CLI package manager would be definitive, but what do I know

Have you tried with another wifi client?
Yes, used a cell phone on OpenWrt 5g, and got 284Down/25up "B"
vs Nokia 5g 296Down / 25 up "B" So comparable.
Interesting findings. Maybe there's something on the network settings of the laptop I'm using (LinuxMint) that aren't optimized for OpenWrt 5g. But why would laptop Wifi play better with Nokia 5g (rhetorical question). I just connect to the SSID, provide credentials and go (IOW don't mess with other settings).
Think I'll totally delete the OpenWrt connection on the laptop, maybe even reboot, and test again.
