I must admit my impression about OpenWrt is it's getting slower and slower. Before kernel 4.19 I was able to achieve speeds of 55MiBps. Now with 5.4 kernel and v17 of @gearbest CT firmware it's barely reaching 40MiBps. BTW wired speeds are also lower.
For me some improvement was possible with:
- Packet Steering enabled (I guess this is new option)
- and the following CT firmware version:
