Setting up RE200 with OpenWrt, having trouble connecting to internet

I am having trouble setting up my wifi repeater

my wired connection does not receive any internet traffic

Assume you've followed https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/network/wifi/relay_configuration?

LAN and WWAN appear to be in the same firewall zone.

  • Place in WAN zone; or
  • Make sure that you allow forwarding on the LAN zone

It's supposed to be like that, if you follow the wiki.

This won't work unless either

  1. There is a static route in the main router (192.168.2.0/24 via 192.168.1.30)
    or
  2. The wwan is moved to the wan firewall zone (or really any separate zone that has masquerading enabled.

In addition, the wwan network has been set with a static IP. Not shown in the picture is if the gateway and dns has been specified. If it hasn't, it also will not work.

Yes but openwrt comes pre configured for re200

Not for wireless relay, it doesn't, did had a look at the page?
