Hi, I've just installed OpenWrt 23.05 x86 on my Wyse Cx0. I tried my wifi adapter which is detected on my Linux Mint as:
ID 0bda:0811 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. 802.11ac WLAN Adapter
This adapter works fine on my desktop after I installed this driver:
Tried several other drivers from different github repos with no luck on the desktop.
On the OpenWrt side, I installed this kmod:
kmod-rtl8812au-ct

The problem is, this adapter won't work. I tried using the "scan" and suddenly the router freeze, all the time. Wireless config tab only shows this:

Is there a way to compile the driver from that github link above to use as kmod on my OpenWrt?
On the same page you reference, they tell you that there is no official support for OpenWrt. However, as read in this repository:
The maintainer tested it with OpenWrt and says it works. Although, he left no documentation of how he managed to do that, nor do I know of anyone who has corroborated it. If you achieve something with it, please share it. There are many threads about that same chip in this forum already. You just have to search. It is known that the driver works well on Linux, but it seems that the problem is not that it works well, but that it does not follow certain protocols, which make it possible for it to be officially supported in OpenWrt. I don't know how far or close it may be to complying with these protocols, although from what I have read, it should be very close. I don't have any device with that chip, but knowing that if it works, I would be interested in buying one.
This is probably your best chance:
