Route for downward LAN

Hello everyone. Before anything, here's my current setup:

home_network(2)

Currently, what I'm trying to do is make 192.168.3.0/24 accessible from my OpenWRT device. I tried adding a simple route for 192.168.3.0/24 with the gateway 192.168.2.254 but it sadly didn't work. Could anyone see what the problem might be that I'm missing?

the issue isn't with the openwrt device, but the mesh.

is the mesh using openwrt ?
does it have a firewall ?

putting the openwrt device on the meshs lan side, could possibly solve the issue,
but it depends on the configuration options of the mesh.
