Rotating SSIDs?

Hi everybody. This request isn't to fix a problem, but just about something whimsical.

Is it possible to set up an access point to display a series of quotes (The Office, US) that would function as SSIDs, and that change on a predetermined schedule? It's just to make people laugh, plus it amuses me, too. I did something like this a couple of years ago but I changed the SSIDs manually. So, just looking to see if there's a way to automate it.

Any more details?

  • Use UCI commands to change the SSID name
  • Use crontab to schedule those changes
