Reyee RG-E6 vs NETGEAR WAX620

I am looking for a dumb AP for my existing pfsense x86 router. I will buy it from the USA, so I need to know which one to choose from these 2. both are similarly priced.

CPU: MediaTek MT7986
DRAM: 512 MiB
NAND: 128 MiB??
2.5G ethernet port : 1
how to confirm rest of the specs? from FCC MUMMIO support etc? https://fccid.io/2AX5J-E6
and

NETGEAR WAX620 it has OpenWrt in RC at least.

https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/?version=24.10.0-rc5&target=qualcommax%2Fipq807x&id=netgear_wax620

CPU: Qualcomm IPQ8072A 4core @1689mHZ
Flash512NAND
Ram: 1024
2.5G ethernet port
4x4:4 MUMIMO both channels, OFDM and OFDMA

RG-E6 isn't supported, the WAX620 is .... easy math ?

but RG-E6 can be supported, I am okay even with a snapshot build.

You also had one? can you confirm the hardware and wireless specs for the RG-E6?

supported <> supportable

How is the Wi-Fi performance compared on both? do you expect RG-E6 to have higher bandwidth(on stock firmware) compared to WAX620?

AX6000 vs AX3600, what do you think ?

I've got the RG-E6 packed down, and got no WAX620 to compare with.

AX6000 vs AX3600 are more of marketing terms, that is why I was after actual hardware specs.
I am getting the same price dollar to dollar for both. so need to decide on better hardware.

MT is always preferred, with the WAX you're going the QCA route, but at least it's supported.

From US....why not consider Zyxel NWA50AX PRO or Netgear WAX220?

let me check both

my requirements are Priced under USD 50 (used is preferred) and a 2.5Gpbs port at least.

and it has to be from US, right ?

as long as shipping is minimal, I will consider any router with the above requirements.

your answer isn't even in the same solar system as the question...

:joy:, as long it doesn't cost an arm and leg I will consider it.

you'll have to request a shipping quote by email.

2.5Gbit ports: 2x which is great.
Wifi6 802.11ax 5 GHz 4x4 + 2.4GHZ 4x4

this one seems to be the best of the three.

https://openwrt.org/toh/zyxel/t-56

same hw as the GL-MT6000, no eMMC, but 3.5x cheaper.

~400MB flash available, using ubootmod.

shipping seems to be an issue though. email might help.

I had to ask for a quote too, to get them shipped to me.
