Replacing Router hardware with same config

I have a netgear R6260 router running openwrt (stable). I want to try the Linksys LN1301 with the exact same configuration. Is it possible to download and upload the config to the new router? I have multiple WiFi & subnets, wireguard, DDNS, GRE tunnel etc that I prefer not to configure again. I can manually install the necessary the packages.

What is the recommended practice for replacing hardware with a different architecture?

You should back up the old config and use it as a reference to set up a new router. There are device-specific items: MACs, radio device paths, interface names, etc. You can copy-paste some items that are more generic.
