Redmi AX6000 (ubootmod) on OpenWrt 24.10.5 – LEDs not working

Hi everyone,

I’m currently using a Redmi AX6000 that has been successfully modded and flashed with:

OpenWrt 24.10.5 (xiaomi_redmi-router-ax6000-ubootmod-squashfs-sysupgrade.itb)

The installation went smoothly and all core functions are working properly (WAN, LAN, WiFi, routing, etc.). However, there is one issue:

:backhand_index_pointing_right: None of the LED lights are working at all.

There is no power LED, status LED, or any other indicator light active.

Before flashing OpenWrt, when the router was running the original Chinese stock firmware, all LEDs were functioning normally. So this does not appear to be a hardware issue.

I would like to ask:

  • Is there any OpenWrt build that fully supports LED functionality for the Redmi AX6000 (ubootmod)?
  • Is there a different stable release, snapshot, or even beta/test build that includes proper LED support?
  • Has anyone managed to get LEDs working on this model under OpenWrt?

I don’t mind testing experimental builds if they are known to restore LED functionality.

Any guidance or shared experience would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

have you read and done this ?

Yes, I’ve already read and followed the guide step by step, but unfortunately there is still no signal. Do you have any other suggestions?

It was logical to ask first if you'd read that point.

What if the guide commands don't give you any possible results ?

Does this command display anything ?

ls -la /sys/class/leds

Unfortunately, I don't have any more information to give you any more helpful advice.

Hi, thanks for your help.

I will run the command ls -la /sys/class/leds and post the output here shortly.

Thanks you very much
