I don't think this will work. Especially with the masks you are using.

Firewall						OpenWrt						VPS
WAN: 10.0.0.1/30				LAN: 10.0.0.2/30
Loopback: 78.141.226.237/32		WG: 172.16.0.253/30			WG: 172.16.0.254/30
								Allow: 0/0					Allow: 78.141.226.237/32

On VPS static route 78.141.226.237/32 via 172.16.0.253.
On OpenWrt static route 78.141.226.237/32 via 10.0.0.1.
