Opkg update is not possible (failed to download and wrong signature file)

Hello,

I had a Linksys WRT1900ACS up and running (mutliple VPN clients, vpn policy based routing + web ui) which suddenly was not using the VPN connections anymore. After executing the following three steps, I have the problem that some packages can not be found and some signatures are wrong!?

  1. Update with LUCI
So I decided to update with LUCI. The update worked well but after that I did not have SSH access anymore and the VPN connections were still not used. Any idea why SSH was not working anymore? It worked fine for over 6 months...

  2. Install from scratch
Second step, I decided to install the router from scratch with a reset. Now I have a clean openwrt 19.07.3 but can not opkg update anymore!? Connection to the internet is fine but some packages can not be downloaded (only some!).

  3. Update with flash image
Third step, ok after reading in the forum most people recommend updating with the new flash image. No problem but now I have more issues: some (not all) can not be download and a signature file is wrong:

Please can some help with a solution?

I just switched to openwrt 9 months ago and have to admit it needs a certain learning curve:-) But I also would like to know what happend!? Not using the VPN tunnel and no ssh access in the first run?

Might be related to some OpenWRT server issues.

[Solved] thank you for the hint - now it is up and running again
